To the Parents and Caregivers of Forest Glade Public School Students,

We are excited to announce a major investment in Forest Glade Public School as part of the Ontario Government鈥檚 ! These renovations will upgrade our facilities and provide an enhanced learning environment that supports student growth and success.

While this is an exciting step forward, we understand there may be some temporary disruptions during the school year. Rest assured, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition, prioritizing the continued safety and comfort of our students while minimizing any impact on their learning.

The renovation process will begin on January 6th, 2025, and we would like to share important information regarding key dates and the Student Relocation Plan for Grades 3-8 outlined below.

Important Dates:

In preparation for the renovation, we would like to highlight a few important dates.

• Thursday, December 19th will be the last day of classes for students leading into the holiday break.
• Friday, December 20th: There will be no classes or before and after school care on this day. This means all students of Forest Glade will have an additional day added to the holiday break.
• Monday, January 6th, 2025: Students will return to school in the new year based on the relocation plan outlined below.

Student Relocation Plan:

• Grades 3-8:
  Starting on January 6th, 2025, students in Grades 3 through 8 will be temporarily relocated to the former Eastwood Public School site, located at 3555 Forest Glade Dr, Windsor. Eastwood was selected due to its available capacity and proximity to Forest Glade Public School. This move will allow renovations at Forest Glade to proceed safely and efficiently, with minimal disruptions to learning.
• Primary Learning Centre:
  Students in the Forest Glade Primary Learning Centre will remain at their current location during the renovation period.

Transportation:

Windsor-Essex Student Transportation Services is currently planning transportation routes for students who will be relocated to the Eastwood site. Parents/legal guardians can view their student鈥檚 transportation details via the transportation parent portal on Wednesday, December 18th.

Before and After School Child Care:

We are pleased to inform you that there will be no changes to the before and after school program location. The program will continue to operate at Forest Glade Public School. For students who are being relocated to the Eastwood site, transportation will be provided to and from the school, ensuring access to the program.

Bell Time Change:

Please note Bell Times may change for those relocating to the Eastwood site. We are making every effort to have the bell times remain the same with minimal change in time if absolutely necessary in order to accommodate transportation.  Further details about start and end time will be provided in the very near future.

Construction Updates:

To keep parents and caregivers informed about the progress of the renovations and any updates related to the school, we will provide regular construction updates through the following channels:
